Sales and Design Representative

Zimmer Marble is a marble, quartz, and granite countertop fabrication and installation company. For over 40 years we have been perfecting the art of both stone craftsmanship and customer service. We retail to the mid-Michigan market, and wholesale to a network of over 80 dealers throughout Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio. We are currently searching for a flexible, fearless, and goal-oriented Salesperson to join our office team! We offer on-site training, uncapped commissions, and growing benefits to tenured staff.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Sell and promote all Zimmer Marble products and services to retail and commercial customers.

  • Serve our walk-in customers’ needs with enthusiasm and expertise.

  • Generate quotes quickly and accurately.

  • Maintain and develop B2B relationships (25-50% travel, no overnight)

  • Lend design and creative expertise as needed.

  • Maintain an organized and well-documented account of leads, sales, and customer notes.

  • Efficiently generate and manage paperwork, schematics, drawings, billing, and CRM information.

  • Answer incoming calls and route them accurately.

  • Communicate clearly, effectively, and proactively with the office and production staff.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Professional and courteous phone and face-to-face manner required.

  • Sales experience required.

  • Design experience highly preferred.

  • High school education/equivalent or higher required.

  • Basic math ability required.

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure required.

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.

  • At least two high-quality references required.

  • Must be looking for a career or long-term job (at least 2 years), not a short-term job.

  • Customer- and business-relationship management experience required.

  • Valid and Current Driver’s License required.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively regardless of situation required.

  • Ability to work well alone and with others required.

  • Scheduling software experience highly preferred.

  • Filing/Organization experience highly preferred.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds preferred.

  • Stone industry sales experience highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $10-15/hour, based on experience.

  • Uncapped commissions.

  • Medical expense reimbursement program.

  • One week paid vacation after one year.

  • Five paid holidays per year.
